How to Disable IPV6 in windows server 2008

How to uninstall TCP/IPv6 on Server 2008. You may want to uninstall TCP/IPv6 for a number of reasons. When you uninstall TCP/IPv6 on Server 2008, it removes Tunnel adapter named “Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface”. See ipconfig output below.uninstall ipv6
Disable TCP/IPv6
1. Uncheck “Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6)” from all of your connections and adapters and component in the list under “This connection uses the following items.”
2. Open Registry Editor, Regedit.exe
3. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters\
4. Right click on “Parameters”, choose “New”, choose “DWORD (32-bit) Value”

5.  Change the name of the key to “DisabledComponents”, set the value to 0xFFFFFFFF, Hexadecimal

uninstall ipv6

6. Restart the computer for the registry value to take effect.
